Trend Following in the Nederlands

Feedback in:

Dear Michael, I’m a Dutch trader. In recent years I’ve developed a Trading System including different trend following strategies. Your books and podcasts have been a major influence during these years especially when it comes to the mindset that corresponds best with these kind of strategies. I enjoy the multidisciplinary approach that also becomes visible by the various voices on your podcasts. Again and again its a pleasant surprise to hear people strengthening the trend following paradigm coming from all kinds of backgrounds. Keep up the good work!

Thanks.

Find Fund Managers Across Books and Podcast

Feedback in:

Hi Michael, I really enjoy your podcast and the alternative ideas you put out. Please keep up the good work! I was wondering if you could help me with a question please. If one had around USD100,000 to allocate to a trend following manager would there be one or a couple of stand-out managers that you would put forward. I understand you are obviously not in a position to make specific recommendations: the question really just goes to accessibility of particular funds for that size of investment, as I understand that amount is too small for many funds. I have been in contact with [Name] at [Name] already, but would like to thoroughly explore options. I would prefer a manager that only takes carried interest and no fees in down period. By way of background I am Australian citizen but a long term resident of Japan.

Many thanks

Absolutely no names, other than all the leads you can find across my podcast and books!

Podcast Feedback

Feedback from one of my podcast guests:

Michael, thanks again for inviting me to do the podcast with you. I’ve had some wonderful discussions with listeners from far and wide (Australia, Japan, Argentina, etc..); it’s amazing how many people you’ve reached to help learn about trend following. Keep up the good work, and happy holidays!

Best,
[name]

And:

Michael, plenty of good feedback and discussions. It’s refreshing to talk with people who already have a great understanding of trend following because they’ve read your books, listened to your podcast, etc. Might be worth looking into contacting [name] for a future podcast. He wrote a great book “[name]” that I just finished. A very popular book this year. I don’t know him at all, but he really explains momentum/trend following well, the history of it (mentions Seykota, Druz, Tudor Jones, etc…) and applies it to an equity/bond strategy that does very well. It’s much more focused on equity index momentum and not trend following managed futures, but the concepts are the same. Seems like a really smart dude and may make an interesting podcast.

Take care,
[name]

Thanks!
