“I have discipline but too much content is misleading…”

Hi, I have discipline but too much content is misleading, and I find myself trying too many different methods and getting discouraged when they don’t work out. I would die for a program you and the turtles found with Mr. Dennis. I would accept no money to gain the experience and to be able to be around actual successful figures in the industry. I would love a workflow to follow and some insight on what to expect so I am not making judgments based on how I feel at the time regarding the diversification of assets to be trading. Would one currency, one metal, and one stock sound diverse enough? When using the 20 DOC entry and after you have trailed your stops for the four additional add-ons, would your exit be the 10 DOC or still the 20 DOC? Thank you.

“Someone needed to talk sense to me and set me straight…”

Episode 1155 might have saved my trading career. I have a couple of businesses, and troubles in one business were affecting my trading. I was not planning as I know I should, I was making gut decisions. It is not good. Someone needed to talk sense to me and set me straight.

It was not my system. It was me.

I’ve been following you for a very long time, before your podcasts. I have all of your books. I probably need to purchase your trading education because I know I will learn things I can apply to my own system.

Second topic; guest idea for the show. I recommend [name], a Hindu priest, entrepreneur and former monk of 10 years. I have met him, heard him speak, he’s quite active in a business owners organization of which I am a part. I believe his views on focus relates quite well to trading.

If you agree, I can attempt to make the connection. He lives in Honduras now, not sure how often he checks messages and email.

Dear Michael,

You asked which is my biggest problem with my trading. It is trading consistently. I only need a half hour every evening as I trade end-of-day data. But taking it up every evening without missing is my biggest problem. I am missing the discipline.

My question for you and I know you will laugh based on all of the above is: Can this style of trading work on a time frame such as Hourly or 4Hour? Or are markets too noisy and open for manipulation on such levels?

No. That’s not trend following at that time frame.

My guest today is Bent Flyvbjerg, the first BT Professor and inaugural Chair of Major Programme Management at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and the Villum Kann Rasmussen Professor and Chair in Major Program Management at the IT University of Copenhagen. He has pioneered research in behavioral science, including power bias, strategic misrepresentation, optimism bias, the planning fallacy, and reference class forecasting. He is the founder and co-founder of a dozen highly successful research groups, degree programs, and startups.
