What technique and time frame are you speaking of?

Swing trading, 72 minutes. Multiple shorter timeframes for timing. Approx. 1R first profit-taking, then ATR trailing stop for balance. Risk is fractional ATR based on the chart.

That’s a dead end. Throw that technique and time frame in the waste basket. Further reading to jump into.

I have read a number of your books now and enjoyed them a great deal. I traded stocks and options in the past, and as I read your books I was surprised at how normal the mistakes I made were, and I understand now why I was so frustrated in an effort to prove myself right. What a revelation and sense of freedom to read about an approach that manages risk and probability, and does it so successful when applied with discipline! I’m a full-time Army Officer and Apache Pilot. We discuss risk management in our field religiously, since it’s necessary for mission success and survival, even in training. I’m excited to learn more and apply time-tested concepts, not only for the potential for wealth generation but also for the disciplined application of a system. I’m interested in your Flagship Course. Do you offer any additional discounts for the military? Hi Michael,

I’m surprised by this email but I’ll happily answer your questions. My biggest challenge when it comes to trading is thinking that some stocks are too expensive for me to buy, then missed out on the price increase. My next challenge is to find out the underdogs = cheaper stocks of huge potential to trend higher. I missed out Moderna, Nikola, and others. I’m not sure if my mindset is wrong for the underdog thinking, I hope you can enlighten and educate me on it. Thank you so much for your time and God bless.

As I went on my walk this morning, I thought I would be able to hear the only person that would agree with me about what I call the mask hoax. I was wrong about that. Although we differ on that, I absolutely loved the end of the Podcast. As soon I got back to my office, I printed this and put on the wall next to my desk.

“All I want in my life, the rest of my life is to engage with people who really want to get there. The whiners, the criers, the people who got excuses, the people who want to deny that mindset is so damn important. I got no time in the day for them.”

The reason I don’t buy this mask deal is that in my world I have contacts with business owners all over the country and we are in an industry that has been exempt from the shutdown. Each time I talk to them I ask them one simple question. Do you know anybody who has tested positive and has become seriously ill (hospitalized) because of this virus? The answer is always no. A few have known people that have tested positive, but none of them even had symptoms. I realize the group of people in my corner is getting smaller by the day and if I saw evidence I was wrong, I would change my mind. However, I hope I am right.

Thanks! The mask is risk management. If the science is uncertain? And there is no for sure? No 100%? Masks provide some potential risk reduction for a low cost.

Morning Michael,

Made my decision to start trading at the beginning of March and have been a member of a trading site since the beginning of May at this time I’m now familiar enough with the various software indicators and have an understanding of price action I have found three strategies that I want to learn and am currently testing them on [software name; read more] the one I’m actually doing at the moment is a trend surfing strategy so I downloaded the audible book The Complete TurtleTrader which has led me to you. The answer to your question “what is the biggest challenge with my trading” is I don’t actually know yet and that I’m still exploring and investigating so much it hard to say.
