“Been listening about six months…”

Feedback in:

Been listening [to your podcast] about 6 months. Started at #1. Just hit #500. What’s that, about 500 hours? 30,000 minutes. What’s the equivalent of that in books? At least 50. I’ll catch up to current by summer! I know it’s about to get real good because the 2016 election is about to happen. BTW, I worked on Buddy Roemer’s campaign in 2012. He ran for president on one issue: getting big money out of politics. He only accepted $100 donations, which is why he got nowhere. I wish I’d known about you then. He would have made a great guest. He passed late last year. Good guy who I think you would have aligned with on many issues. I look forward to listening to the rest. I still think I loved those early episodes with Mike Shell and Jim Rohrbach episodes the most so far. Good stuff.

Joshua C.

Thanks.

“I read your book, The Little Book of Trading…”

Feedback in:

Mr. Covel,

Thank you for your response and the link to your video. Regarding your question, I am not an active trader. Perhaps your course is not for me. I have made some trades in the past through a retirement account but it was basically guess work and you don’t have to guess the results. I am interested in becoming a more active trader/investor and I’m looking at as much information as I can. I read your book, The Little Book of Trading, and I’m following up on some of the resources and names listed. Thank you for your interest.

Tony R.

My books and podcast alone will put you on the right path.

“Lost a lot due to my own stupid risks and not cutting losses…”

Feedback in:

Happy Friday,

I randomly found your podcast the other day trying to listen to some Mark Minervini and have been listening to a bunch more over the last few days. Trying to find my way of trading, have made a lot and lost a lot due to my own stupid risks and not cutting losses. Consistency is not my strong point right now. At the end of a podcast it said to email here for some info to get started.

Chris R.

“I have no money to trade right now…”

Feedback in:

Hey Michael,

I guess the biggest problem for me is finding a consistent strategy and then managing my money properly. I’m hoping you can help. I’ve blown my account more than once, unfortunately. Also, the debate about setting stops. I was trained to use them, but I see how the market goes pip hunting and takes me out. Basically, I suppose I have typical trader challenges. Oh, and I have no money to trade right now… I’m guessing that’s my biggest problem with trading. haha

Sincerely,
Tom

I can’t help you to obtain trading capital. That’s on you.

Feedback in:

Main problems that I have faced in trading are:
1) Stock selection gets me all confused while trading intraday
2) Cannot follow a system when it starts giving losses and switch over to other systems
3) Not able to get consistent profits even after follow proper risk management
4) Get too confused because of information overload

Kunal K.

I would stop all of that ASAP or go to Vegas. Vegas is more fun. When you are serious? There are options below.

The topic is her book The Grieving Brain.

In this episode of Trend Following Radio we discuss:

  • Groundbreaking discoveries about what happens in our brain when we grieve
  • The difference between grief and grieving
