My guest today is Moritz Czubatinski. He started off as a professional poker player but wanted a more legitimate way of making money. He started his trading career with zero education in finance and now trades off 8 to 10 charts for 6 to 8 hours a day. He was use to playing 24 tables of poker at a time (online) so Moritz is use to the constant action. Moritz Czubatinski specializes in helping traders get going. He has been traveling, trading and running a business for about 8 years. Tradeciety, his first business, was formed to help traders get started in the markets. Next, Moritz started a trading journal software company called Edgewonk. Every trader needs a journal, and when Moritz started out trading, there were no practical journals available.

Really enjoyed the interview with Tyler Cowen. As I was listening I was thinking about Detroit and Dan Gilbert. I don’t live there, but I do work for Quicken Loans. That’s probably impacted my perception of the city, but there are big things happening. I don’t feel like Gilbert is playing it safe. Maybe other billionaires do similar type things, but I don’t remember seeing it, especially where I live near Cincinnati.

I simply wanted to thank you for your work and dedication. I have been listening to your podcast for about 8 months now.

Just to give you a quick synopsis of my background, I’m a practicing physician in Toronto, Canada. In late 2015 I decided to pursue a second career in finance/wealth management and so I went back to school (having zero knowledge of finance/economics. I didn’t even know what a bond was, or a stock for that matter). I still have not started the career switch but I have completed all the educational requirements to be licensed as an Investment Advisor and actually start my new career.

Anyhow, I really admire your message, the way you carry yourself and the amazing guests you have managed to bring on your show.

In one of your latest podcast when you discussed the family friend that happened to visit [name] I actually found myself day dreaming about packing my bags (and my girlfriend’s) and heading there…”hey babe, we’re moving to [name]. I’m gonna go get tutored by Covel!”
