Dear Mr. Covel or to whom it may concern,
My name is [name}. I am a first-generation, low-income community college transfer and recent Johns Hopkins graduate. I was already recently admitted to Johns Hopkins for graduate school starting in June and currently applying for medical school. I’m currently at Cedars-Sinai making $20 an hour as an intern in my 2nd year out of undergrad, commuting 2 hours one way – which I will no longer have because my contract ends 3/6/24 and I start grad school 5/2/24.
I knew nothing about turtle trading but used moving averages and stacked them as a form of increasing my probability of “following” the trend of the trade on paper money TOS account. But based on the first line you can assume what I am about to ask… you are correct. I grew up on food stamps and Section 8, I was only able to go to school through need-based aid, and unfortunately, healthcare professions don’t pay much until you are out of med school. Much of my money currently goes to insurance, gas, maintenance, and family obligations. I am not asking for a handout, but asking if there is a way to learn the concepts of turtle trading in a way that is not financially crippling for me at this stage of my life.
I bought your book and even reached out to Mr. Parker directly and many others mentioned in the book. I think this is a great skill to leverage and I plan to leverage it to help pay for medical school (or at least part of it). I’m currently studying for my MCAT and preparing my medical school application.
I am not trying to get a handout again, just being brutally transparent with hopes of learning something new. I’ll include some links about me to prove my journey and credibility. I kindly ask for any advice, or assistance, as I’m on thin ice financially.
