I signed up for one of your classes this AM on the book purchase/password site.

I have been living in Chapter 28 of your book since 2005 (investment wholesaler)!

I am unlearning 16 years of what Chapter 28 railed on (with extreme accuracy I might add).

I got to Chapter 28, and I felt like Bruce Willis in “6th Sense” or Chaz Palmintieri in “Usual Suspects” when it hit them at the end and they figured it all out!!

I have already gifted “Trend Following” book to others that need to pull the ejection handle from “The Great Hypocrisy.”

I have listened to Episode 40 multiple times and sent it to a lot of friends.

Scales are falling off of eyes!

You have moved me to a new understanding of reality and I am open to ideas!

My most painful experience recently is to see all my nice profits in China tech shares evaporate from March 21 and holding on to the bag till Aug 21. Then it got into my nerves and affected my well-being. I cut and got out. When to exit my trades and getting out is the main problem. And even blue chip shares like Alibaba and Tencent that I bought and hold for long term can see a 50% draw down within weeks due to Xi’s new data security China policy. This event is a black swan to me. I came across your book “The Little Book of Trading“, was introduced to trend trending, and I need to have a new psychology change to my trading from now. I hope you can guide me with a new mindset with your courses.

I am no 40 years old. I understand that there are many trading systems that work such as Value, Growth, Trend, or Hybrid. I also understand that I should find one that is suitable for me and stick to it.

The problem is there are so many and how can I consider which one is suitable as it will require too much time learning them all.

Hi Michael, As for my biggest challenge, it’s probably the same as a lot of people–being too quick to bail out on a trade. I’m just coming back to trading after a long time away. There were a couple of earlier periods in my life when I traded actively but I was never really successful. On the one hand, I never let my losers run long enough to blow up an account. But on the other hand, I also never let my winners run long enough to offset the losses and be truly profitable. I was never more than break-even at best. Looking forward to better trading!

You need a complete plan. Entry. Exits. Money management. Portfolio selection.

You can’t keep guessing. You can but why?

I am writing to you because I listened to your pod cast with Tom Basso and other trend following traders. I got into trading last year because of the covid-19. I am a chef, 44 years old, and a father of 2 children. My wife and I moved to Australia 16 years ago. Its been a blessing life. how ever i want make more than make ends meet. My Dad last year sent me a link with a day trading course. I had never understood the markets. I took the course, I’ve learn a lot, even-though the course was for day trading, the coach/mentor always said. the market goes up, down or side ways, there is opportunities in all markets, and I could make money going long or short, trading in any time frame, yet I need to understand a few things in order to develop my own strategy. its been a year trying to figure it out, I am still on this journey. One day I accidentally listened to a Tom Basso interview with system traders, then I listen to your podcast (I love it) and here I am. fascinated with the idea of trend following. Tom Basso current strategy sounds amazing, 40m to 1h in front of the computer, checking the buy and sell engine is doing its thing, have the system doing the hard work, have the variety of markets, and the best, no prediction, no idea what its the next thing, just follow the trend. Amazing.
