I read and thoroughly enjoyed your Trend Following and Complete TurtleTrader books, and appreciated the efforts taken to discuss how Trend Following, in one form or another, has been around for centuries.
That said, do you know if trend following works as well today as it has historically? I’m asking because I’m beginning an algo trading course that’s focused on extensive backtesting, and it was mentioned that Trend Following does not work as well as it once did. I will find out after backtesting, but would like your perspective.
