Thank you for being the instigator I needed to change the course of my life. I started listening to your podcast and reading your books in 2016. At that point, I was a couple years out of college and stuck working for the man. I didn’t know where to put my money, but knew I couldn’t trust my emotions or the market pundits. The work you were/are doing clicked deep in my psyche. I consumed everything related to trend following trading I could get my hands on.

When I saw the power of trend following in my backtests, I knew there was something profound to the strategy (both in markets and in life). In 2018, I started trading a classic trend following futures strategy with my own money. Once I started making money outside of my day job, I knew what I needed to do next. I couldn’t work for anyone other than myself. I launched a fund in late 2020 and have been riding the waves of trend following ever since. Still a tiny fund, but good returns so far in the last 4-5 years. Trying to put together a solid long-term track record with decades of performance like the great trend followers out there.

Your work has had a huge impact on my life. Keep kicking ass! If you’re ever back in the US, I owe you at least a drink/dinner and would love to connect at some point.
