Hi Michael, After listening to your podcast occasionally for about two years, purchasing, but not having finished reading your most recent book, etc., I figured I’d reach out and say hello. I thought I was on your mailing list, and may have been previously, but I just signed up again. The video link you have in your first email below is one I hadn’t seen previously. Anyway, I appreciate you. Thank you for all you do. But you asked a specific question, so here goes…
What is your biggest challenge you have faced with your Trading?
Implementation. Hands down. I work full time, and have investments spread out across multiple accounts and brokers. As I’ve attempted to take a more active approach, I’ve ended up with a convoluted mess, whereas when I was blindly B&H passive index investing, it was pretty simple – one 401k through employer, one other broker (Vanguard) for a ROTH and a rollover ROTH. All on auto pilot. I’ve ended up subscribing to a few different services/strategies, mostly risk on/off momentum signal type strategies. While I conceptually understand Trend Following, I haven’t yet found a playbook for implementation. Perhaps that is your course, which I’m considering. So basically, a guidebook/playbook on the concrete steps to take to determine where to manage the trend following account(s), what allocation of one’s total portfolio to allocate to the TF strategy (100%?), and the day-to-day action steps is what I still don’t quite grasp. Thanks for listening. I’ll continue to dig in to your material with great interest and respect.
