“I have been trading regularly in Istanbul Stock Market for about 1 year…”

Feedback in:

Hello Michael,

I hope this email finds you well. Thank you very much for your posts. I am writing from Turkey. I am a doctor who is an anesthesiologist. I sent my son to a school in North Carolina far away from us for his high school education in August this year. Naturally a private school. Due to the exchange rate difference between the Turkish lira and the US Dollar, I need extra earnings other than being a doctor. I have been trading regularly in Istanbul Stock Market for about 1 year. I constantly research and read for self-improvement and sustainable profitability. At this stage, I want to ask very frankly. I have $40000 allocated for this job and from here I have to earn $4250, which is my son’s monthly school installment. Could this be the right target for me? Can I achieve this gain and more by sticking to the system? I am in the operating room during the day and I can go to the screen whenever possible. I want your help with the system that I can implement according to my terms and which can be profitable. Thank you so much.
All the best,

“The biggest challenges are position sizing with a small portfolio systematic validation of trading strategies…”

Feedback in:

I’ve been listening to your podcast since 2010/2011 when I was in college in Brazil. Now I live in Spain, work as a Software Engineer for a US company, and have some money saved to invest. The biggest challenges are 1) position sizing with a small portfolio 2) systematic validation of trading strategies. I am attempting to get more confident in my strategies by testing some insights from Tom Basso’s most recent book on position sizing. I am also validating some strategies via TrendSpider (and porting them to MetaTrader to avoid paying unnecessary subscriptions).

Thanks for all the insights so far, could not be more grateful!

Otavio C.

Feedback in:

Hi Michael, I hope you don’t mind me messaging. I just finished listening to The Complete TurtleTrader. And I really enjoyed it from a story and inspiration perspective. And I’ll go back to the chapter on the system in the future when I’m ready. Going to get your other audio book next. I love your passion for mastery. And your doggedness in pursuing the story, despite the many obstacles.

Thanks! More here.

“The biggest challenge I have is how to scan markets to identify prospects that may begin to trend…”

Feedback in:

Hi Michael,

To answer your question the biggest challenge I have faced thus far with my trading is how to effectively scan markets to identify prospects that may begin to trend. I have been able to identify entries and exits well thus far, improvement will come with more experience, but the prospect identification aspect I have struggled with.

Thanks,
Steven

“I often exit way too early and then watch the action continue…”

Feedback in:

Hi Michael,

First of all, let me start by saying thank you!

Your podcast and books are amazing and have opened my eyes to a whole new world of trading.

I have always known that there are trends in markets and I have never believed in the efficient market theory. My biggest challenges have been confirming the trend and also my exits, I often exit way too early and then watch the action continue.

I’ll stop there before I ramble on, thanks again and I look forward to the content.

Regards,
Kyle M.
