[Biggest challenge on trading] Running a mandated, concentrated, retail discretionary portfolio makes it challenging to use trend following due to the issue of excessive trading generating not only trading fees but more importantly, tax implications.
As a result, I tend to hold on to losers too long.

Trend following though is not day trading. Not excessive trading if time frame is longer.
I need better long-term trend signals to guide my trading. Perhaps based on weekly or monthly trend changes rather than daily.
By the way – I have been listening to your podcast since 2015. I’m an avid podcast listener and I follow some impressive, well-known podcasters. However I must say that your selection of guests, topics and interviewing skills are at an elite level and I enjoy yours the most, among all others.
I also share your love of freedom and focus on good health habits. Following bypass surgery in 2015, I rehabilitated my diet and lifestyle, lost 50lbs and stopped taking all medications. I have never been healthier, and I’m older than you are.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
