Hi Michael.

You probably get asked this a lot. I’ve been programming algos for years and I have some promising ones – trend following, what else!

Where would one find a family office, quant firm or other that might be interested in taking a look?

I’m a programmer by trade and that’s where the most of the fun is for me. Ideally I’d find a trader or trading firm somewhere to work with. There should be a social network group for such things but I’ve yet to find it.

I guess it’s a bit like a lyricist looking for a musician to write songs with.

If you know any good networking sites or firms it might be worth approaching please let me know.

I’m a big fan of Ed, a great mind with an engineer/physicist approach. Finding the path to the higher order thinking is one thing but entering into the 2nd world as Ed puts it can be difficult without a plan or some sort of path which I’m struggling to find… Maybe I’m already on the path… I’m not sure.

Yes, I do. I do not have it yet though. Will these two books gonna provide me the basic knowledge to start in trend trading? Turtle trader book and trend following book?

Nice to hear your contributions. I have a very interesting question relevant to the trend following system. You mentioned earlier in an interview that you are visiting the Asian markets to make people aware of trend following, as Americans are now much aware of the systems. But what is your opinion on the Pakistan stock market, which has unique dynamics? Her hedge funds often focus on fundamental and momentum-based trading rather than pure trend-following. If this system works well in the global market, why isn’t it applicable to the Pakistan stock market? How can we apply it?

The trend following I teach works on all markets. I can’t speak to Pakistan markets specifically, but trend following is trend following. Also, I would not recommend you trade Pakistan markets alone. You limit yourself to do that.
