“Use moving average crossover as my entry signal and will exit the position if…”

Feedback in:

Hi Mike,

I plan to use moving average crossover as my entry signal and will exit the position if the averages cross back after backtesting. I intend to manage my position size to a 1% risk of my total capital, utilizing the Average True Range (ATR) for this purpose. My strategy involves taking profits when the moving averages cross back or if the price closes below the moving averages (trailing stop). I won’t be using candle or pattern analysis, nor will I consider support or resistance levels in my market analysis.

Given this approach, would you consider me a trend follower?

Khalid

I teach a more involved method than this. More issues like money management and portfolio issues.
