Good Morning Mike,
I bought your book, Trend Commandments – from audible. Love it. 5 stars. It changed my thinking on trading and life.
I am 56, and all my life have not been a trend follower. When I graduated from high school, all my friends went to work in the coal mines in my region. I became a professional chef.
My friends bought Camero’s, Corvettes, and Mustangs, I bought a Porsche.
I have felt like I have been fighting the system all my life. When I owned an IT company, I was usually ahead of [the] trend by a large margin, a leader not a trend follower. But I didn’t understand how to be a category leader (something i picked up from a very interesting recent podcast of yours), and well… long story short, I got wiped out in March of 2000. A complete financial reset in my mid 40’s. I lost everything, my business, many friends, all my investments, my properties… everything. I apparently didn’t understand risk management either. I was all in, 100% committed to my business venture. So that was interesting. I have been looking for something that inspired me and filled me with passion. I found trading. I have put huge effort into learning the art and skill of trading. I figure it’s like pro golf, if you want to be good, you need to practice your ass off.
I started trading about 9 months ago, love it. Only demo accounts mind you. I will be going live sometime very soon. Trend following just makes sense. I work full time plus, so don’t have time to babysit a screen all day. I would love to receive a free audible book of yours, one of the turtle trader books would be awesome. I don’t use iTunes or and own iPhone or any apple device. Not an apple trend follower typically. Only have a Samsung Android and I use podcast addict and have no idea how to write a review on that app, for your podcasts, in fact I don’t think you can. So sorry no screen shot.
