I’d love to see your video and hear more about the steps you think would best apply to me. I am a professional futures trader for roughly 20 years now. I was formerly on the floor of the CBOT and still hold a membership. I’ve read several of your books (albeit a while ago) and even had money invested in the managed futures space with Mark J. Walsh until he closed his fund several years ago. I am not a quant, but am also not a luddite and am willing to learn. Any thoughts, guidance, or insight would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to say thank you for creating the podcast episodes, writing the books, and putting together the Flagship program. All three offerings have been very helpful to me.

2022 was my first full year of trading futures. What a year it was! Name me another way of trading or investing where someone removed from the major financial centers can put up results like the professionals.

I have lots to learn and implement but I’m loving the journey and am looking forward to learning more.

My guest today is Gloria Mark, a Chancellor’s Professor of Informatics at the University of California. She has been a visiting senior researcher at Microsoft Research since 2012. She was inducted into the ACM SIGCHI Academy in 2017 in recognition for her contribution in HCI. Her research interest is in understanding the impact of digital media on people’s lives and she is best known for her work in studying people’s multitasking, mood, behavior, and stress in real world environments.

The topic is her book Attention Span: A Groundbreaking Way to Restore Balance, Happiness and Productivity.

My biggest challenge is finding some automated method for gathering and processing data. I am in need of something to screen stocks and gather their data for analysis. Gathering data on even one stock would be useful if somehow the technical information could be calculated automatically. I am new to this so am reluctant to spend $2000 at the moment. Just finishing up your book “The Complete Turtle Trader”.

Hello. I appreciate the approach of answering emails personally! My biggest challenge is to take the fund from a prop firm like ftmo or mff with trading bots built on breakout and trend following strategies. It’s difficult for me to pass the challenge at the prop firms because I have to fall within the drawdown of 5% or 10% and reach a profit target. With my own money in my own account, I still don’t have the courage to offer more than 1000 dollars to the bots. That’s why I’m looking for a financing solution, I’m looking to be funded. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. Keep in touch!
