I’m at dinner with my brother-in-law who invests. Proud that he just bought Intel. He was looking at the chart and I audibly laughed out loud. Trend followers will never run out of people to take money from.

Been reading the Trend Following book, but still looking for more to see where there is the conversation on how to identify trends. I am a patient programmer who can stick to a system. Since I am not interested in technical analysis beyond the scope of identifying trends and certainly not interested in keeping up with fundamentals, I thought this might be a good avenue to learn how to trade. Just looking for something more than telling me why trend following is good, I already am sold on that. I need to learn how to identify trends, backtest them, and put them into action when I am comfortable in doing so.

Hi Michael,

I have difficulties with the time I can afford to trade. The main trading hours are the same I am working every day at my job in Hungary, so it is hard to make money from the slow period. Besides that I have a small account which gives not so much room for me. But I think the biggest challenge is the mental attitude that is hard to beat during trading!
