The main challenge in my case is to separate the analysts’ personal political ideology from their economic opinions. I see analysts trying to push their personal agenda instead of providing useful advice.

Now thinking about Trend Following maybe my expectations about analysts are not reasonable.

I am now starting to operate using Trend Following, and need to study more.

I started some months ago subscribing to a trend following report in Brazil (capitalizo.com.br). I am receiving the recommendations and started some trades already. Now I want to know more and be able to identify the trends by myself.

They identify mainly stocks and ETFs, in Brazil and US, that are leaving a downside period, or a non-trend period starting an upside trend. In this strategy they don’t send shorts. They suggest just the ones with a stop loss of 10% to 12%. For riskier cases they ask to buy also puts to add more protection. They usually have 8 to 10 items, with some cash.
