Been catching up on your podcasts. All very good. The recent one on ‘silence’ was interesting as was your take on not speaking [a foreign language] which brings its own form of silence from all the noise around you. Trend following: I’m smart enough to know that I don’t have the full knowledge, tools and time to set up a proper trend following system to trade multiple markets and so gave some money to [fund manager].
Question 1: Am looking to add more money to trend following. Do you suggest giving more to [fund manager] or to ‘diversify’ with other trend following firms?
Question 2: Trend following has done great this year so far. Am also ok to ride through the eventual big draw-downs on the initial capital. But when do you suggest taking the gains and letting the initial capital to continue to run? We don’t know when the trend (of the overall portfolio) will turn and so also don’t want to give the back the gains.
