Summary
Nicolas Darvas was a world-famous ballroom dancer who knew nothing about stocks. After costly early mistakes, he developed his own method, the “box” system: buy stocks breaking out to new highs on rising volume, and protect every position with a stop just below.
Trading by telegram while on tour, he turned a modest stake into about $2 million in the late 1950s. His book became one of the best-selling trading books of all time.
This file is the back cover, which quotes his philosophy: the only sound reason to buy a stock is that it is rising in price.
