"Yes, I am now here for most of the year. I still have the Virgin Islands as my U.S. residence but plan on living here for most of the Southern latitude spring, summer, and fall and expect to spend a few months in old Europe for their summer with plenty of trips back to the U.S. mainland and Virgin Islands in between. The Virgin Islands were good for a few years when the tax program caused some interesting people to move down but that has subsided so I was looking for someplace with a bit more intellectual stimulation (i.e. a real city) yet with much lower costs for hiring well-educated employees. Buenos Aires was always one of my favorite cities and after the economic crisis in 2001, the costs here are very low. I also have a life goal of becoming very fluent in the more spoken of the world's languages: in particular Mandarin, English, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic (I decided against Hindustani for the time being since so many in India also speak English but I may change my mind on that later). Fluency requires spending a considerable amount of time in a country where that language is spoken. I will probably throw in French, Italian, and Portugues for fun since I speak a bit of French and Portuguese already and they are all so close to Spanish that they are quite easy to learn once you have the Latin-based Spanish grammar and vocabulary down. I have a friend who is from Kalinningrad (formerly Prussian and currently a disconnected outpost of Russia that sites between Lithuania and Poland on the Baltic Sea) who recommends that part of Russia as an excellent place, so I may check that out later this summer to start learning a bit of Russian after we get Trading Blox 2.2 out the door."
